Pendleton Chief's Road Baby Cot Blanket

This delightfully brightly coloured muchacho baby cot blanket was designed by Chippewa-Cree artist Jesse Henderson exclusively for Pendleton Woolen Mills. The central design depicts the Milky Way or "Chief's Road", the Big Dipper and the North Star. Below is a row of lodges that symbolise and represent Mother Earth. Everything inside signifies the children of the Creator. The bands of bear and moose tracks represent two of the highly esteemed animals revered in Native American culture.
