Melon Shell and Lapis Heishi Necklace (NCK336)

A lovely traditional sterling silver, melon shell and lapis lazuli heishi necklace, hand made by accomplished Kewa Pueblo artists James and Doris Coriz. The disc beads vary in thickness and are beautifully balanced around the string. The melon shell is nicely coloured, in shades of beige through to cream and white. The semi-precious lapis lazuli is intense blue, with gorgeous inclusions of pale blue, white, gold and grey. The simple sterling silver clasp is accented with large sterling silver beads. The necklace is highly polished, smooth to the touch and sits very nicely. Kewa Pueblo is renowned for heishi and James and Doris have created a bright and cheerful example, that looks just perfect.
