Lapis Lazuli and Coral Chunk Necklace (NCK337)

An eye catching traditional style, coral and lapis lazuli chunk necklace, hand crafted by accomplished Kewa Pueblo artists James and Doris Coriz. The artists are well known for traditional necklace design particularly for keeping worked stones as naturally shaped as possible, as in this piece. The semi-precious lapis lazuli chunks are of the typical intense blue colour, with nice inclusions of pale blue, white, gold and grey. They are mainly trapezoid shapes and fit together beautifully on the string. The 10 coral chunks are dark orange and are natural, irregular shapes. The small sterling silver clasp is accented with sterling silver beads. The necklace design is earthy and artisanal and will sit nicely with any everyday outfit. James and Doris's creation is a wonderful contrast of natural colours, subtly and expertly arranged.
