A fabulous chunky and beautifully shaped Kingman Arizona turquoise teardrop and sterling silver necklace, hand made using ancient traditional Kewa techniques, by accomplished Pueblo jewellers James and Doris Coriz. This elegant and distinctive necklace consists of 57 turquoise teardrops, graduated in size, with the largest stone at its centre point. The stones have the gorgeous lustre of ocean tumbled pebbles and are bursting with natural colour, from aqua, sky blue and blue-green to pale blue. Some of the stones are multi-toned and all have a bold matrix, in shades of silver, white, gold, beige, black and brown. This imposing and substantial necklace, is very smooth and comfortable and sits as a traditional teardrop necklace should. The extendable clasp is created with sterling silver round beads and cones, marked with American Indian rain symbols. Turquoise is ancient, yet its appeal never fades. Time and again it finds itself back in fashion as one of the most popular trend colours in the world. James and Doris have taken their timeless traditions and fused them with modern fashion trends to created a stunning piece of formal jewellery.
