A dazzling necklace of Czech Aurora Borealis fire-polished faceted glass beads and Buffalo horn hair-pipes, designed and expertly hand crafted by Sou'West Nova Metis artist Don Standing Bear Forest. The symmetrical design consists of 44 uniform size round glass beads plus 1 larger focal bead in the centre. The 4 black Buffalo horn hair-pipes emphatically split the string into 5 distinct segments. The shimmering glass beads are coloured red, aqua, pink and amethyst. The choice of focal bead is green, amethyst or yellow. The ends of the necklace are finished with small spherical brass beads and a brass lobster clasp. The sparkling contemporary style of the polished glass is wonderfully contrasted and enhanced with the natural conservative look of the Buffalo horn. In doing this Don has created a bright, fun piece of jewellery for a night out, but which has that little touch of reserve that makes it perfect for the office too.
